Phillips, Bianchi, Nash and Gisbert (PBNG) at The Mill

Fri. March 24th, 2017| 8pm

Iowa City, IA US

In April of 2012, saxophonist Damani Phillips, Hammond organist Pat Bianchi, trumpeter Greg Gisbert and legendary drummer Lewis Nash came together for the very first time to record an album under Phillips’s name titled “The Reckoning". We're pleased to be reuniting for 2 great shows in the state of Iowa - the first at the Mill in Iowa City and a second at Noce in Des Moines (Sat. March 25th). Hailing from NYC, Gisbert, Bianchi and Nash are each internationally recognized as leaders in jazz on their respective instruments. Together with Phillips, this group creates music that exudes energy and soulfulness; striking an exciting balance between musical substance and accessibility. Please consider joining us for a night of hard-hitting jazz the likes of which is rarely experienced in the Midwest! BREAKING NEWS: This show will also be recorded with plans of creating a new live jazz album recorded exclusively in Iowa music venues. So in addition to coming out to hear the music, come be a part of a new live album recording, too! Cover charge: $10 / $7 for students (available at the door) Doors open at 7pm www.icmill.com
